Business Forum Series & Networking

The Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Santa Clara County, Inc. was established in 1982. It was organized as a non-profit, non-partisan, and nonsectarian organization.

It’s mission is to promote and assist businesses in Santa Clara County and those who want to do business with the Philippines.

Benefit of Chamber membership include business and trade information and referral, business assistance with start-ups, loan application, business planning, certification application as small disadvantaged business, trade assistance with participation in trade missions, conferences, and exhibits, business seminars and workshops, publications and mailers, invitation to “Members Only” events, employment referral, community outreach, and discounted rates for advertising in Chamber publications and websites, special deals and discounts with other businesses and partners.

 

 

For over thirty years, the FACC of Santa Clara County, Inc., now called FACC of Silicon Valley continuously serves as a vehicle for civic and community service.

  • Promotes a two-way trade between the Philippines and the United States
  • Provides business counseling, small business assistance and business trade information and referrals
  • Promotes business education through seminars and workshops, and other programs as well as events that encourage entrepreneurship
  • Facilitates networking through its mixers and business events in the greater Silicon Valley
  • Collaborates and partners with government agencies, other chambers of commerce, schools, universities, and other community based organizations for the benefit of its members
  • Serves as a link between employer businesses and job applicants through its Employment Matching Program
  • Serves as the membership’s voice to Federal and State Legislature as well as local governments including the Cities of San Jose, Milpitas, Santa Clara and other Bay Area cities

Business Forum Series & Networking

Avail yourself of our monthly business forum series to enhance knowledge base on the business trends, federal and state compliance. Members receive invitations to seminars and forums featuring business leaders, and government officials as resource speakers. This is also a great networking opportunity and share your business success stories.

Credibility

Business that participate and support the business community are generally seen as businesses that are following appropriate regulatory and compliance requirements, with good business ethics. There is an element of trust when doing business with a chamber member. We will provide you with a Certificate of Membership that identifies you as a chamber member, a letter of introduction, and you may use the chamber logo to identify yourself as a chamber member on your brochures or in your advertisements.

Business Advocacy / Economic Development

The Chamber maintains a close working relationship with Silicon Valley and the City of San Jose Government. This can be valuable when a business owner encounters problems in understanding local regulations or is seeking assistance for special business needs. Effectively working to make sure Silicon Valley is an attractive community to locate a new business or to grow an existing one is an important contribution of the Chamber to insuring we have a healthy local economy.

Our informative newsletter keeps you informed on the local business community and tips to run your business more effectively. New members are profiled, renewing members are recognized. All members have the opportunity to contribute articles related to their business, and also insert flyers that will reach our local business and civic leaders.

Chamber Website

Each chamber member receives a free listing on the Chamber website and links to member’s website. Logos and other opportunities are also available for nominal fee.

Referral Service

The Chamber receives calls for referral to local business products and services. We refer these people exclusively to Chamber members. Hundreds of residents and visitors visit the Chamber office each year. Members are encouraged to use the office as a way of distributing flyers, business cards, or brochures about their business or service.

Information

The Chamber has a complete Economic Profile that includes information on demographics, projections and other information that is useful for creating a business plan. We have lists on schools, churches, etc. and can provided relocation packets to your new or prospective employees.

Merchant Discount

Avail yourself of merchant discount from our accredited vendors such as restaurants, aut supplies and accessories, groceries, electronics, etc.

Participation in Local Business Fairs & International Events

Business Expo/Fair Chamber members have exclusive participation in the business fair and international events, i.e.- conferences and trade mission. This is an opportunity to have a booth at a discounted rate that can showcase your business or service.

Members have the exclusive opportunity to advertise in the Chamber’s Map which is widely distributed to residents, visitors, and local employees.

Grand Opening Assistance

For new or remodeled businesses the Chamber can help arrange a well publicized ribbon cutting attended by local political and community leaders.

Relocation Packets

Upon request, the Chamber can send out information packets to people considering relocating to Santa Clara County.

FY 2018-2020 BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION

COMPOSITION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Total Board Director Positions to be filled are up to 15 positions. Those who get voted ranked/land in the First top 7 elected Board Director shall serve for two Fiscal years, FY 2016-2017 and FY 2017-2018. The remaining elected Board Directors shall serve for one Fiscal Year following provisions of FACCSV By-Laws.

Only members in good standing and paid their membership sues are allowed to vote. Those who cannot come in person may submit their vote at: [email protected]

DATE OF FILING OF CANDIDACY/LETTER OF INTENT

All eligible members for Board Director positions may submit their letter of intent together with their resume no later than July 31, 2018 until 12 midnight at [email protected].
